Hinzert Concentration Camp Memorial
On 10 December, “Human Rights Day” 2005, the prime minister of the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Kurt Beck, accompanied by the prime minister of Luxembourg,
Jean-Claude Juncker, officially opened the new archive house at the former SS Special Camp and Hinzert Concentration Camp in Hunsrück.
The remarkable building and exhibition designs are the work of Saarbrücken architectural firm, Wandel Hoefer Lorch,
while all the media technology – including an audio-guide system with an inductive starter mechanism – was produced and installed by the firm, Soundgarden Audioguidance in partnership with Die Werft.
