150-year anniversary of Imtech in Frankfurt

For its 150th anniversary, Imtech invited its entire workforce to attend a celebration at the Frankfurt Messe (Trade Fair Complex). One of the main attractions of the evening was the presentation of its company history within a large entrance hall. Die Werft was commissioned to pull together all the historic facts from the works archive and effectively stage the information to an audience of over 5000 guests. This was achieved by filling the trade fair space with large-scale, theme-based isles, information terminals and display columns.

Six-metre-high theme-based isles illustrated the various business fields of the company, by way of photographic impressions that were visible from a long way off, and spectacular models, like a reconstruction of the Tornado smoke extraction system in the Mercedes Benz Museum Stuttgart. On the counters of the theme-based isles, the invited guests found further information on each branch of the company in the form of individual project presentations. Anyone wanting to delve even further into the history of the company had plenty of opportunity to do so at information terminals that were easily operated via an intuitive navigation wheel.

A further element of this exhibition were the so-called milestones, featuring the key stages of Imtech’s corporate history on tall, slim display columns. These pillars accompanied visitors as they made their way to the main stairway, which then led them to a large, festive banquet. Due to the great success of the exhibition, the milestones were later used at other events and prominently displayed in representational areas of the company.
